Mariona Omedes Regàs
Multimedia artist, trained in graphic design, illustration, and painting. She began her professional career at the height of the digital post-production boom and worked for ten years (1989-1999) at Oframe, a pioneering digital post-production company, where she eventually took over as director. During this period, she specialized in editing, visual effects, animation, and motion graphics, collaborating with directors, creatives, and artists from various disciplines. In 2008, she founded and directed Nueveojos studio, initiating a phase of creative expansion where post-production became just one part of a much broader audiovisual language.
She develops projects for museums, exhibitions, shows, concerts, theater, and opera, creating audiovisual scenographies, immersive installations, video art pieces, and event content. In parallel, she directs documentaries and drives her own projects, consolidating an approach that combines narrative, technology, experimentation, and visual communication. Her work is characterized by integrating diverse disciplines and exploring the expressive possibilities of the moving image, always from an artistic perspective. In 2011, she received the National Culture Award, granted by the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CoNCA), in recognition of an innovative career in the field of audiovisual creation.
