Become a Member

Individuals with the legal capacity to exercise the right of association who meet the requirements established in the Academy’s Statutes for the relevant membership category may apply for membership.

Membership Requirements

Be an individual with the legal capacity to exercise the right of association.

To submit an application for admission addressed to the Board of Directors.

To accept the Statutes and Internal Regulations of the Academy.

To meet the requirements of the corresponding modality.

Digital Arts Professional

To apply for Professional Membership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • To practice a profession directly related to Digital Arts.
  • Reside in Catalonia or carry out professional activities in the field of digital arts with a significant presence in Catalonia.
  • Belong to at least one of the specialisations recognised by the Academy.
  • Hold a degree in a discipline related to digital arts or have at least one year of professional experience in one of the recognised specialisations.
  • Submit a CV, portfolio or supporting documentation.

Student*

To apply for Student Membership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a course of study related to digital arts or a related field.
  • Provide proof of student status through a valid enrolment certificate or an equivalent official document.
  • Not be directly engaged in professional activity within the digital arts sector.
  • To submit an application for admission addressed to the Board of Directors.

 

*For the purposes of the bylaws, enrollment under this category corresponds to the legal status of Associate Member.

Professionals from other related fields*

To apply for admission as a professional from other disciplines, the following requirements must be met:

  • To engage in a professional activity indirectly related to Digital Arts or related fields.
  • To demonstrate professional activity or a track record in related disciplines through a CV or equivalent documentation.
  • Not to be directly involved in the creation, production, or operation of a strict specialty of Digital Arts.
  • To submit an application for admission addressed to the Board of Directors.

 

*For the purposes of the bylaws, enrollment under this category corresponds to the legal status of Associate Member.

Annual Membership Fee

The standard fee for professional members of Digital Arts is €5 per month, with an annual payment of €60.

Students and professionals from other related disciplines receive a 50% discount, with an annual fee of €30, provided they meet the requirements to verify their status—which, for students, requires proof of current enrollment or an equivalent official document.

Admission

Admission of new members is subject to the review and approval of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the Academy’s Statutes and Internal Regulations.

If a student applicant is directly engaged in professional activity within the digital arts sector, their application will be assessed under the Professional Membership category.

Basic Information on Data Protection

The data controller is the Association of the Academy of Digital Arts (Tax ID: G26863167). The primary purpose of processing your personal data is to manage your application for membership, assess the documentation submitted in accordance with the criteria established in the Academy’s Statutes and, if your application is accepted, to manage all aspects of your membership, including administrative and financial matters, such as the collection of membership fees. In addition, if you choose to do so, we will use your email address to send you our newsletter and other cultural communications.
The legal basis for processing your personal data is the performance of the contractual or membership relationship arising from your membership application and acceptance of the Academy’s Statutes (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), compliance with the legal obligations applicable to the Association (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), and your explicit consent solely for the sending of newsletters and other informational communications (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or where necessary for essential operational and administrative purposes, as transparently described in our full Privacy Policy (for example, with banking institutions for the collection of membership fees or with public authorities for the administration and reporting of related grants).
